A perfect winter proposal in Chicago.
Winters in Chicago can be unpredictable sometimes, but that wasn’t going to stop Kevan from asking Angelina to marry him.
He had an elaborate plan to get Angelina out to River Point Park. It’s a great location for proposals any time of the year. There’s a great view of the city and it doesn’t get a ton of foot traffic if you’re looking for something a little more lowkey.
A few weeks prior, Kevan had asked his family to create fake plans for fancy dinner. This was just to get Angelina ready for the night and to get her near the proposal location.
After leading Angelina through the park, and into my view, Kevan took her by the hand and proceeded to propose. She was in complete shock–there was so much emotion and love in the air. After giving them a moment to themselves, I came up to congratulate them. We took some candid ring shots, portraits, and a few of her fun earmuffs!
Once our session wrapped up, the two had real reservations for their dinner at Gibsons Italia–a Chicago staple (and one of my personal favorites).
Here’s to hoping I get the opportunity to continue telling their love story at their wedding–cheers to these two!
