Oscar + Alicia

Milton Lee Olive Park

Olive Park is one of Chicago’s many hidden gems for skyline viewing. Nestled next to Chicago’s Navy Pier, it’s the perfect spot for a romantic outing.

Oscar and his girlfriend Alicia were visiting from Mexico, and Oscar had planned something truly unforgettable, a proposal. His plan was to spend the afternoon at Navy Pier, but before arriving, he wanted to check out Olive Park, known for its breathtaking skyline views.

As they made their way to the park, I was hidden in the distance, pretending to be a tourist snapping photos of the city and lake. When the moment was right, Oscar took Alicia by the hands and began his proposal.

To make the proposal unique and personal, Oscar had the ring box made to look like the Golden Snitch from Harry Potter’s Quidditch game. This thoughtful and creative touch made the moment even more special for her. Plus i’ve never seen anything like it, so way to be creative!

Here are some tips for planning a proposal:

  1. Personalize It: Don’t be afraid to tailor the proposal to your partner’s interests. Small, thoughtful details can make the moment unforgettable.

  2. Choose the Right Location: Olive Park is an ideal location for proposals because it offers a private view of the skyline. The park’s landing, overlooking the water, provides a stunning backdrop of the city, Navy Pier, and its iconic Ferris wheel.
